Women's & Gender Studies

Women's and Gender Studies (WGST) is an interdisciplinary program that explores the voices of women and minorities whose experiences have often been overlooked in the traditional curriculum, and examines the ways that gender, class, race, religion, sexuality and culture intersect in people’s lives. It also provides opportunities for students to become more knowledgeable and active members of their communities.

WGST is offered as an undergraduate major and minor, a post-baccalaureate certificate, and, at the graduate level, as a track in the Master of Arts in Liberal Arts program. Undergraduates may also pursue a certificate in Women and Learning and Leadership (WILL).
