Mathematics and Statistics
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers a degree program in the discipline of mathematics, with an emphasis on either pure or applied mathematics. In addition, we offer minors in computer and computational mathematics and applied statistics. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics has an inspiring staff of professors that are focused on helping students excel and achieve there future goals. The department is also pleased to be able to provide the Math Learning Center for student tutoring, placement exams, workshops, GRE preparation, computer assisted learning and much more. Another important benefit to the department is the Center for Mathematics Education, it is dedicated to improving the quality of preparation for prospective teachers and making continuous professional development available to current teachers. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is dedicated to continued excellence in teaching and providing skills that allow future opportunities for our students.
