Welcome!
The Internship Program is a directed field experience that introduces students to careers in related fields, such as Art History/Administration, Modern Languages, Public Relations, Journalism, Electronic Media, Philosophy, Publishing, History and Law.
The internship enables students to observe first-hand how training received in the classroom applies to the world of work.
Students who elect three credit hours work eight hours per week (112 hours total) for one semester. They work on a regular schedule, unless the placement approves an equivalent arrangement. Students who elect six credit hours work sixteen hours per week (224 hours total) for one semester. Students may take up to six credits in one semester, and many take up to twelve credits through the program.
The internship also includes a weekly seminar designed to draw students into the placement, to help them analyze their experiences, and to assist them in identifying skills needed for future employment.
