Our Mission
The mission of the University of Michigan-Dearborn’s CASL Online department is to provide accessible, effective learning opportunities for students as a flexible augmentation to the traditional classroom environment.
- Assist in enhancing the teaching and learning process through the use of educational technologies.
- Provide support and training of faculty, staff and students in the use of online learning methods.
- Assist faculty in the development and delivery of online courses.
CASL Online Staff are here to help faculty with technical and pedagogical issues when teaching online or blended courses with CTools. Call or email to set up an appointment or for technical assistance. We would be happy to meet you in your office or classroom as needed.

Canvas Update!
Canvas will be available for all faculty to use in Fall 2013. Curious faculty may sign up for a trial version now. CTools will be available concurrently with Canvas for one year, until the end of the Fall 2014 semester.
Faculty may also make an appointment anytime with the CASL Online office to have one-on-one sessions in our office our yours. If you have any questions about migration or need assistance with CTools or Canvas, contact our office.
