The Center for Arab American Studies (CAAS) is a college wide academic program and research site at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Situated at the heart of the Detroit Metropolitan region, CAAS serves its diverse communities, including (but not limited to) Arab residents, immigrants and Arab Americans.

The Center’s Research Investigator, Hani Bawardi, is overseeing the Center’s archive and teaching courses in 2007-08 on Arab American History and 20^th -Century Arab and Arab American Identity. He will join the faculty as Assistant Professor in Fall 2008.
