The Meeting of Minds Conference provides undergraduate students and faculty at UM-Dearborn, UM-Flint and Oakland University the opportunity to come together to present and discuss their research.

Why would I want to participate in Meeting of Minds XVII?

To learn what other students are doing in a research field of interest to you.
To find out how to get involved in undergraduate research.
To better understand how research is undertaken so you can improve your research experiments or papers in your undergraduate and graduate courses.
To learn more about a field that is new to you.
To gain valuable experience in making a formal presentation of your research in a supportive academic environment.
To discover what kind of student research is taking place at other campuses.
To extend your learning beyond the confines of the formal classroom.

How can I participate?

There are two levels of participation:
- You can submit a proposal to make either an oral presentation or a poster presentation of a research project. You need to identify a faculty member who is willing to work with you to supervise your project. For example, perhaps you want to present a research paper or project you produced for a class last semester. To do so, fill out the presentation proposal form and registration form including a brief abstract (summary) of the project.
