African and African American Studies is an interdisciplinary program housed in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. The program offers a flexible, challenging, and stimulating course of studies for students who wish to pursue a minor that will allow them to:

Acquire knowledge of the history and cultural legacies of Africans and African Americans throughout the Diaspora.

Ground themselves in the intellectual contributions of major African and African American scholars and cultural workers.
