AAPT Winter Meeting
February 12-16, 2009
Chicago, IL

Join us in Chicago for the 2009 AAPT Winter Meeting being held in conjunction with the AAAS Annual Meeting February 12-16.

Nobel Laureate, Leon Lederman will moderate distinguished panelists during The 2009 Symposium on Physics Education “Early High School Physics: Building a Foundation for Understanding the Sciences.”

Notable awardees include George F. Smoot III of University of California, Berkeley (the Oersted Medal) and Vera Rubin of Carnegie Institution of Washington (the Richtmyer Award).

Attendees will have a unique opportunity to network with over 1,000 physics educators, view presentations from internationally renowned physicists, discover the latest innovative teaching methods, and explore professional development opportunities. More than 100 educational sessions and workshops will be offered. Offsite events will include field trips to the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory(Fermilab) and the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry.
