For concentrators in economics a well-balanced offering of courses is designed to equip the student with an understanding of basic economic relationships, the essential tools of economic analysis, and a store of factual knowledge.
History is the art and science of understanding humanity in time. It seeks to recreate, critically analyze and assess the context of changing human activities, be they cultural, economic, political, or social.
Political science, broadly defined, is the study of political power and the ends to which that power is used.
The program in Urban and Regional Studies (URST) at the University of Michigan-Dearborn provides opportunities for in-depth study of some of the major challenges facing individuals and groups living and working in major metropolitan regions such as Detroit.
