A minor or area of focus in Communications consists of fifteen (15) hours of approved upper-division courses. Nine (9) of the fifteen must be taken in one (1) of the five (5) areas of study listed below. The remaining six (6) must be taken from any of the other four (4) areas of study. Of the fifteen hours, three (3) must be in a Speech course and three (3) in a Communications writing intensive course as listed below. In addition, students must complete the two prerequisites listed below to obtain a minor or area of focus in Communications.
