Welcome!
The CASL Alumni Affiliate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn Alumni Society is a volunteer organization comprised entirely of the 15,000 graduates of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters. The Alumni Affiliate's goals are:
- To stimulate interest and involvement in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters.
- To provide alumni with opportunities for professional development and networking.
- To encourage outstanding liberal arts students to select the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
- To familiarize its members with the progress and challenges of CASL and UM-Dearborn.
- To collaborate with University officials in addressing the needs, policies and programs of CASL and the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan.
- To develop communication and cooperation among faculty, alumni, students and friends of CASL.
- To create a favorable environment for fund-raising efforts by the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters.
How to Get Involved in Committees
All CASL Alumni are invited to become actively involved in Affiliate activities. Active members of the Affiliate -- those alumni who have volunteered their time to committee activities -- generally spend between four and six hours per month on Alumni Affiliate business. All activities are voluntary; a minimum commitment could include attendance at a single committee meeting each month.
Meeting Schedule
The Alumni Affiliate's governing board meets bi-monthly in the CASL Conference Room, 2021 CASL Building (second floor). All CASL alumni, faculty and staff are invited to attend.
