The Master of Science in Health Psychology is a graduate degree offered by the Behavioral Sciences Department in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters (CASL) at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. This two-year, 39-credit program provides students with intensive training in one or more content areas within Health Psychology and is intended for several populations: 1) students who would like to continue graduate training in a research-related field, 2) medical professionals who may wish to continue their education on a part- or full-time basis, and 3) individuals who require an advanced degree to advance in their careers. This program is not intended to fulfill the course requirements for the Michigan Limited License in Psychology
The 39-credit program consists of five required courses (15 credits) in core areas of Health Psychology. Students will complete either a 3 credit Project or a 6 credit Thesis under the supervision of program faculty. The remaining 18-21 credits will be composed of elective course that focus on one or more content areas.
