Transferring Credit from Other Institutions

Up to six credit hours of graduate credit may be transferred from another institution. A petition for a course from another institution to meet one of the requirements of the MS in Psychology: Specialization in Health Psychology program will be considered by the Graduate Program Committee if:

• A copy of the course syllabus is provided.
• The course is similar to the course for which it is being substituted (i.e., similar in terms of level, content, grading methods).
• The course was taken in the past five years from a university and program judged to be of high quality.
• The course was passed with an ‘A’ or ‘B.’
• The grade was determined primarily on the basis of papers, presentations, and/or examinations.
