Welcome!
What is the CASL SOAR Program?
The program at The University of Michigan-Dearborn offers students an opportunity to attend the university for 12 course units at significantly reduced levels.
Who qualifies?
Applicants must be referred by a local social service agency, meet program admissions criteria and attend one of the campus’s “On The Move” events.
Who is the program for?
The program is for students who would not otherwise be able to begin college course work without reduced tuition costs. Students may be of any age.
Our mission
CASL SOAR program seeks to encourage socially and economically disadvantaged women from the metropolitan community to attend The University of Michigan-Dearborn. The program provides reduced tuition, mentoring, book subsidy and academic/ personal support. We encourage students to earn a four-year degree.
